Minutes of the Four monthly meeting with CPMG.Tamilnadu Circle held on 23.01.2014.

The four monthly meeting with CPMG was held on 23.01.2014. Myself and Com.S.Natarajan.  President attended the meeting. The implementation of CBS and its effect on SBCO were discussed in the meeting. The role of SBCO in CBS has not yet been designed by our department. Our comrades are requested to rise to the occasion in implementing CBS successfully.  As  training given for CBS, we are audit staff, our work is audit oriented and our staff are requested to do voucher checking  and concentrate in other SOs  leaving  V2-SBCO in the migrated offices. The following subjects were discussed.
Subject 1.:The Savings Accounts in  Sanchay posts in  SO-SB module  is not updated in  some HOs, especially in Chennai City Region. The Interest for the revived silent accounts is not calculated in Sanchay Post programme and many cases are found in DB Analyzer as “ACCOUNTS WITHOUT PREVIOUS YEAR INTEREST”.   Wrong BAT is also noticed in Sanchay Post. It is requested that the debugs found in Sanchay Post module may be set right.
 
Reply: Solution has been provided by the SDC, Chennai for the above DB discrepancy and it is being monitored in the web site, There is no discrepancy in CBS pilot offices.
 
Subject 2. As there is acute shortage of man power in SBCO, Units throughout the Circle, with the poor staff strength of one or two PAs, SBCO in each HO, it is very difficult to keep the branch in to current in all levels including agreement, minus balance etc. It is kindly requested to implement the CPMG’s earlier instruction to provide sufficient assistance either Postal Assistant or outsource up to the vacant strength. Then only it could be possible to update the work for CBS Purpose.
 
Reply: The applications were called for 109 vacancies for the year 2011-12 and 85 applicants were selected and those applicant’s certificates are under verification (PVR). On completion of verification process, action will be taken to fill up the vacancies in SBCO section. Further, as informed by the Regions following are vacancy positions in SBCO sections.

 The above vacancies are being managed by outsource of staff.

Subject 3. As  CBS is under process for the data of decentralized categories, it may be updated in SOs and the same may be down loaded in HO sanchay Post data-RD table. After ledger agreement of the same, the V2 data of the concerned sub-office may be discontinued in a cut off date. The similar process may be continued to all SOs one by one and the V2 data feeding of the same data may be withdrawn at V2 SBCO , instead the daily RD data may be downloaded at HO by bridge software.
 
Reply:  After implementation of CBS, the whole operating procedure will undergo a change.
